What is it?: The Blue Print is a student newspaper. Each issue focuses on the activities and accomplishments of the students and staff here at ECCHS. The Blue Print is created during Journalism class. The Blue Print is created by students with the help of the class advisor.
Faculty Advisor: Mrs. Jeannie B. Jourolmon (A-7)
Major Activities: The Blue Print staff is responsible for creating all issues of The Blue Print. For the 2015-16 school year, the staff decided to begin an on-line newspaper for students, faculty and the community to enjoy. This on-line student newspaper has replaced the printed editions of the past.
Who can join?: In order to become a member of The Blue Print, students must complete an application. Only students who are among the list of selected applicants may join the class. Students who are interested in being a part of The Blue Print may contact Mrs. Jourolmon for further information.
Requirements: Students must be willing to work diligently to complete articles, take pictures, and meet deadlines. Students must complete an application in order to become a member of the Journalism class and The Blue Print staff. Rising 10th, 11thand 12th graders should complete an application prior to spring registration. Any 8th grade student interested in joining the staff should see the newspaper advisor at ECMS for application information. The application involves teacher recommendations and journalistic writing. Staff members will be required to write articles, photograph school events, and create other journalistic elements required for each issue.
