What it is? The Student Council has a highly active and functional role. Its purpose is not to govern the
students, but to serve as a liaison between the student body and the administration. Additionally,
the Council seeks to foster and strengthen school spirit and pride.
Faculty Advisor: Kachina Rucker (B-4)
Major Activities: Organizing homecoming activities including the crowing of the Homecoming Queen, helping to meet the demands of the student body here at Elbert County, and helping to raise money for March of Dimes.
Who can join? Anyone can join who maintains an average of 80 or higher for the current school year and no write ups for the current school year.
Meeting dates: During homecoming month: meetings are usually once or twice a week to prepare for homecoming parade, game, and dance.
Normal meetings are usually on Tuesday from 3:00pm-4:00pm bi-monthly after homecoming activities. (All meetings are at ECCHS in B-4)
Requirements: Must maintain your 80 average, no write up, and can only miss 3 meetings. Student Council officers should people that are respected and admired by the student body.
Dates to apply: Middle of April & elections are made by the end of April or beginning of May.
