The Georgia Parent Survey contains 24 questions. Parents may complete the survey using their personal computer, smartphone or tablet. All parents are encouraged to participate in the Georgia Parent Survey. The data will be used as part of the calculation of the School Climate Star Rating. Survey responses are anonymous and will be submitted directly to the Georgia Department of Education for analysis. The Georgia Parent Survey is also available in Spanish. Parents may select the Spanish version within the survey. Results from the Georgia Parent Survey will not be available to the public and will not be posted online. Elbert County Elementary, Middle and High School students in Pam Brown, Ann Fernandez & Chrystal Thomas' classes experienced the stunning artistry, unforgettable music and the exhilarating choreography of Disney's The Lion King at the Fabulous Fox Theatre in Atlanta on Thursday, January 11. The group was also treated to a delicious lunch at The Cracker Barrel in Norcross. FHF trips are provided at no cost to the school system or to the students served thanks to our generous FHF Sponsors.
Sign ups for 6th, 7th, and 8th grade golf is on the door outside of the 8th grade hallway. Tryouts will be January 23rd and 34th at the Elberton Country Club. If you have any questions please see Coach Seabolt in room 821.
If you want to purchase a yearbook for the 2017-18 school year you still have time. Yearbooks are currently on sale for $30. You can bring cash or check (made payable to ECMS) to Coach Jones in room 309. You can also order online at yearbookforever.com.
The twelfth annual Miss ECMS pageant will be held on March 24, 2018 at 7:00 pm in the Middle School Auditorium. The pageant is open to any 6th – 8th Grade female student currently enrolled at the Middle School. Sixth and Seventh grade girls will compete for 6th Grade Representative and 7th Grade Representative, respectively. Only 8th grade girls will compete for the title, Miss ECMS. The pageant will be a fundraiser for the Middle School, as well as other non-profit organizations.
Parents please mark your calendars for these upcoming events. Academic Parent-Teacher Teams will change the way families participate in the education of their children. Academic Parent-Teacher Teams will engage and partner with parents in their children's education and academic success. Family engagement = student success.
