Competition Events

Rope Bridge: Teams compete for best time in a simulation of the team crossing a natural obstacle such as a ravine or a river. This year's 10 member team has won 1st place in this event in each of the three competitions. They are consistently running at a state breaking time of 1:03.

Cross Country Rescue: Teams compete in a simulation of trying to get an injured man and equipment from point A to B through distance as well as over obstacles. Six of the team members carry ruck sacks weighing 50 lbs each and the other 4 members carry a litter weighing 120 lbs. All 10 members compete in this event and they have scored in the top 6 in each of the three competitions.

PT: Members are scored on their physical endurance and strength in three areas: situps and pushups in 2 minutes, and a 2- mile run. The five member team of Allen Bradford, Zac Graham, Stephen Jenkins, Reid Fuller, and Matt Bradford have continuously scored in the top 3 in this event, with Zac Graham bringing home a top 5 individual trophy this past weekend, and the other members each scoring over 300 pts earning them the 1st place award.

Obstacle Course: Five team members go through a course with multiple training obstacles including a low crawl pit, rope climbing, balance beam, 10 ft wall, horizontal ladder, double rope bridge, and belly busters. The five member team for this event is made up of AJ Graham, Trey Lester, Matt Mason, Brad Leming, and Jamarcus Burton. This team also continuously scores within the top 3 teams at the events.

Team 3-5 mile Run: The ten team members run together for the distance and they all must finish as a group- no member can be more than 15 yards away from the group.

Gauntlet: Ten men take part in a 2 mile run with 4 rucksacks. The team must work together and use teamwork to complete the run, trading off rucks as one gets tired.

Map Reading Test: Consists of five teams of 2 members. Each team is given 20 multiple choice questions on how to read elevation, distance in meters, 8 digit grid coordinates and other map skills.

Relay Can Relay: All ten members go 60 yards down and back, one member at a time carries 2 ammo cans weighting 25- 35 lbs each.

Humvee Pull: All ten members work together to pull a stalled Humvee 100 yards to the finish line.
