The mission of Elbert County Middle School is to build a bridge to excellence by preparing all students for life-long learning.

Our Beliefs:

  • Student learning is the chief priority of the schools. Students learn best when they are actively engaged in the learning process and have appropriate opportunities for success.
  • Each individual student has unique physical, social, emotional, and intellectual needs and should be recognized, respected, and valued.
  • A safe and physically comfortable environment promotes student learning.
  • The success of the school depends on students, teachers, administrators, parents, and the community sharing the responsibility for advancing the school’s mission.
  • Everyone has the ability and the opportunity to learn.
  • The middle school years are critical in the development of a healthy, independent, and well-adjusted young adult.
  • Student accountability is a foundation for academic success, and each student is responsible for insuring that his/her actions add to their own educational opportunity as well as the opportunity for fellow students.
