As a partner in education, the
Elbert County School Nutrition Program is
committed to the success and well-being of
our students by providing safe, nutritious
and affordable food to our students everyday
with a smile. We are the largest foodservice
operation in the county, serving 1700 for
breakfast and 3000 for lunch every school
day. Breakfast in the Classroom is offered
to all elementary students. The meal is served
in student classrooms thirty minutes before
class begins. All meals meet the requirements
of the USDA and the School Nutrition Division
of the Georgia Department of Education. These
requirements regulate nutritional quality
and quantity of all foods served in our cafeterias.
The School Nutrition Program participates
in the National School Lunch Program and offers
free or reduced-price meals to eligible students.
Applications are available throughout the
school year from the School Nutrition Managers
or the School Nutrition Program office at
the Board of Education Central Office complex.
