    We have exciting news! Elbert County Primary School is now a 1to1 school with chromebook technology! Our technology department and school district leaders have been working diligently to ensure this happens. 

    What does this mean for you as parents/guardians?

    In the event that your student's classroom is quarentined at home, or the student is quarentined, or the district changes to Virtual Learning, they will be allowed to utilize this technology at home in order to access the daily curriculum from school. 

    Every student in the Elbert County School District has access to his/her Google Suite. Inside this suite is Google Classroom, in which the students use for distance learning while away from the physical building during the school year. These virtual classrooms are designed and maintained by each homeroom teacher of ECPS.

    Elbert County Family, 

    The Elbert County community has experienced an unprecedented increase in COVID-19 positive cases over the past week, and the school district has felt the effects of this increase and the related quarantines based on direct contact

    The number of students/employees quarantined from direct contact and from symptoms or positive tests has greatly affected the daily operations of our schools and transportation. Having enough teachers, paraprofessionals, school nutrition workers, bus drivers and custodians to cover all operations to provide effective face-to-face instruction has become a significant challenge. Substitute teachers, bus drivers, custodians, and school nutrition workers are very limited due to the number of quarantines in our community. As a result, our school district is finding it very difficult to operate successfully without enough personnel to cover essential positions in order to maintain an environment that is safe and conducive for learning

    After careful consideration, the decision has been made for students to report to school on Monday, November 16th for a normal school day, but our district will begin virtual/distance learning on Tuesday, November 17th. All instruction will be virtual/distance based beginning Tuesday, November 17th through Tuesday, November 24th. School will return to normal face-to-face operations on Monday, November 30, 2020

    Please know that I do understand the impact school closing for face-to-face instruction has on our community. We have been successful in providing face-to-face instruction since August 17th, and our plan is to return on November 30th and finish the first semester strong with face-to-face instruction. This decision was carefully considered and made in consultation with principals, district leaders, and area healthcare professionals

    All teachers and staff will report to work daily to provide instruction virtually and provide assistance to students and parents. Our individual schools and teachers will be providing additional information for their students and parents concerning school work and school meal availability on Monday, November 16th

    1) Click the Camera Icon

    2) Hold up the student work to the camera and take a picture

    3) Click on the blue button with the plus sign

    4) Choose "Attach a file"

    5) Click Choose

    6) Select the Image

    7) Click "Upload" then "Submit"
