As a speech language pathologists, I assist our students with becoming improved communicators despite challenges such as articulation weaknesses, stuttering, expressive and receptive language disorders, social language disorders, voice disorders, and swallowing disorders. I work with students, teachers, parents, and other therapists in order to develop and implement plans to prevent, diagnose, treat, and advocate for students with communication difficulties. I serve the communicative needs of the students at Elbert County Elementary School by pulling them for direct therapy, designing interventions to assist classroom interactions, collaborateing with school staff, and holding IEP meetings with parents in order to meet individual needs of my students and build better communication skills. I work with students in 3rd -5th grade both in groups and individually.
