Principal, Mrs. Christy Hart
Welcome to Elbert County Primary School! As your principal, I am committed to providing a positive learning environment that nurtures student growth. I am looking forward to working with you as we begin an exciting year together.
I began my teaching career in 1999 teaching pre-k in Hart County. In 2000 I was hired as a first grade teacher at Doves Creek Elementary in Elberton. I taught first grade for eighteen years. In 2018 I transitioned into an EIP reading position at Elbert County Elementary School. In 2019 I became the Instructional Coach for two years and then moved into the role of assistant principal. In the spring of 2023 I was named principal for Elbert County Primary School.
We are so excited to start this school year in a new building and with second grade students! Please feel free to contact me with any concerns. It is very important that we work together as a team to grow our students!

working on my Tier 1 Leadership certificate.
Background:
I am a recovering Kindergarten Teacher. I previously taught
Kindergarten for 21 years. I was at Doves Creek from 2000-2012.
I moved to the Primary School in 2012 and taught Kindergarten
until 2021 when I was named the Assistant Principal for the 21-

Get to know me:
I was born and raised here in Elbert County and am a proud

I am so honored to be able to spend my days serving the
students and families of ECPS.
