At our school, we embrace the S.O.A.R framework, which stands for Scholarly, Outstanding, Accountable, and Respectful. This approach is inspired by the Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) model, an evidence-based, three-tiered framework designed to enhance and integrate all aspects of student outcomes daily. While we do not use the PBIS initiative by name, our adapted S.O.A.R framework shares its core principles.
Through S.O.A.R, we set clear expectations for our students in all areas of the school environment. Our commitment involves actively promoting, modeling, and praising behaviors that align with being Scholarly, Outstanding, Accountable, and Respectful. We believe in recognizing and celebrating our students monthly who consistently demonstrate these values, fostering a positive and productive school culture.
