Dr. Fran Floyd is a lifelong resident of Elbert County and this is her 32nd year as an educator. She earned a B.S. and a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Brenau University. After teaching several years, she pursued a Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership from Clemson University and continued her graduate studies at Georgia Southern University, earning a Doctorate of Education in Administration. Dr. Floyd began her teaching career at the elementary level in Kindergarten then transferred to the middle school and taught 6th grade science and 8th grade English. She then transitioned from the classroom to the Assistant Principal of Curriculum and Instruction at ECMS. After many years as Assistant Principal, Dr. Floyd transferred to the Central Office and currently serves as the Federal Programs Director/School Improvement. In November of 2020, she also began serving as the Interim Pre-K Director and will continue in this position until the end of the school year. Dr. Floyd thoroughly enjoys this age group and is grateful to have had the opportunity to serve at PJBLC!
