A letter from Mr. Rider!

Dear ECCHS Faculty, Staff, Students, and Community:

It is my pleasure to welcome you back to the 2021-2022 school year.  I am incredibly honored to be the new Principal of ECCHS.  I have strong ties to the community through my family and friends.  My wife, Harriet, is a 2002 graduate of ECCHS.  Our older son, Jase, will begin Kindergarten at ECPS this year.  Our younger son, Knox, will attend Wee School.  We are excited to be active members of this community.  I look forward to developing many more connections within our school and community.

We have hired several new teachers this year that will be wonderful additions to our current school staff.  We will give maximum effort to improve and get better each and every day.  We will push our students to excel in academics, fine arts, extra-curricular organizations, and athletics through a focus on hard work, the development of positive relationships with every student, and accountability and ownership.  We will all work hard to meet the needs of our students to best prepare them to be successful in life after high school.

Every student that graduates from ECCHS will take with them into their college or career pursuits a firm understanding of respect, honor, character, and service to others. Our students are exceptional, and we hope that every one of them discovers and embraces their true calling over the course of their four years with us.

I look forward to a great year partnering with our students, parents, and community as we carry on the traditions of the Big Blue!  Please know that I am here to serve you, and my door is always open.
